It is over one year since Tiësto dropped his last ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ mix album and for those that didn’t know this is the definitive mix album series from arguably the biggest DJ in the world. With each instalment subtitled by a different country, each mix inspired by the sights, sounds and experiences received whilst on tour in that particular place.

Being named by the biggest artist on the planet as their favourite new act is quite something in terms of pressure, but mr Duguid steps up to the plate with aplomb. Tangerine Dream, ce groupe européen nominé sept fois aux Grammy Awards, est un phénomène singulier. En tant que groupe instrumental qui utilise uniquement la dernière technologie haut de gamme tout en s’environnant d’une forte identité Rock & Roll, il est difficile de les placer dans un genre musical donné. Nombreux sont ceux qui ont tenté de copier ce qui est aujourd’hui connu comme le « Son de Tangerine Dream » - jusqu’ici sans le moindre succès.
Ils ont toujours eu leurs petits secrets ; comment les strates ont été structurées puis finalement réunies pour former une expérience musicale indescriptible, ou comment ils ont réussi à toujours devancer les mouvements de mode. Tangerine Dream n’a jamais rien produit dans le but de faire sauter les masses de leurs chaises en hurlant aux Hit Parades. Néanmoins, beaucoup des 107 (et ce n’est pas fini !) albums studio, live, et soundtracks sortis par le groupe ont leurs propres fils conducteurs et morceaux hypnotiques, et il est quasiment impossible d’échapper à la course des notes rapides et meneuses de basse.
Tangerine Dream s’est continuellement efforcé d’entrelacer la musique et l’émotion au niveau personnel, en opposition à avoir un public de simples observateurs, qui regardent et qui écoutent.

For those who did not know, Carnet de Vol is a large urban fashion brand, present in France and in Italy. In 2009, it celebrates its twentieth anniversary, and does it in music.
It is GregFingers, composer and urban music specialist, that Carnet de Vol chose to make this beautiful compilation.
Inspired by Massive Attack, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, William Orbit, and called a sound architect by his co-workers and by his audience, GregFingers doesn’t like to be confined in one particular style. He multiplies musical experiences, blending Chill Out, House Underground, and Trip Hop. He composes and releases his first album So Beautiful with the group Hands in 2005, and collaborates with many bands and labels throughout the world.
Real invitation to travelling, the Carnet de Vol compilation takes you on a trip to discover the best of current music, with a Trip Hop and Lounge sound regulated by a Down Tempo and Bossa Nova rhythm. Contemporary rhythms remixed with nerves around jazzy melodies to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary through 13 musical stops…
