Don Blackman (born 1953) is an American funk pianist, singer, and writer born in Queens, New York.

While still a teenager he played with McPherson, Sam Jones and Louis Hayes. At the beginning of the 1970s, he played with Parliament/Funkadelic.

His solo album was released in 1982 on Arista Records.

He has appeared on albums by Kurtis Blow , Bernard Wright, Najee, David Sanborn, Roy Ayers, Sting, World Saxophone Quartet, and Wayman Tisdale.
He wrote the composition “Live to Kick It“, which appeared on Tupac Shakur’s album R U Still Down?
