[Fr] Ce CD est le premier volume d’une nouvelle série : « Blues at home ». Figure majeure de la scène blues de Memphis, Van Zula Carter Hunt (née en 1901 à Somerville, dans le Tennessee) joue de la guitare et chante sur quatre titres ; sur un certain nombre d’autres, elle est accompagnée au piano par Mose Vinson. Ce dernier reprend en solo quelques blues et boogies, cédant la place pour quatre titres supplémentaires à une chanteuse qui n’est autre que la propre fille de Van Hunt, Sweet Charlene.
Les enregistrements ont été faits sur le terrain à Memphis, de 1976 à 1982.

[En] This CD is the first volume of a new series : « Blues At Home ». Major figure of the Memphis blues scene, Van Zula Carter Hunt (born in 1901 in Somerville, Tennessee) plays the guitar and sings on four tracks ; on many others, she is accompanied by Mose Vinson’s piano. Mose also plays a few blues and boogie pieces solo, leaving some space for another singer, Van Hunt’s own daughter Sweet Charlene.
The recordings were made in Memphis, from 1976 to 1982.
