Simply Red – Something Got Me Started : Live In Cuba

Avec en vocaliste lead Mick Hucknall, au clavier Fritz McIntyre, à la guitare Heitor T.P., au saxo Ian Kirkham, et en backs vocaux Dee Johnson, Simply Red, le phénomène Brit soul-pop de la fin des années 80 a commencé un comeback durant les années 90. Ce rebond est toujours d’actualité, avec la création du label simplyred.com, et la sortie de deux albums acclamés : en 2001, It’s Only Love et en 2005, Simplified. Et pour en rajouter une couche, voici Simply Red : Cuba!, un nouveau concert live au Gran Teatro d’Havana – où le group a joué 19 de ses plus grands tubes.

With its current line-up of lead vocalist Mick Hucknall, keyboardist Fritz McIntyre, guitarist Heitor T.P., saxophonist Ian Kirkham, and backup vocalist Dee Johnson, Simply Red, the Brit soul-pop phenom of the late eighties, began a comeback during the nineties. Their rebound has extended to the present day, with the creation of the simplyred.com recording label and the release of two acclaimed albums of new material: 2001’s It’s Only Love and 2005’s Simplified. Augmenting this second wind is Simply Red: Cuba!, a new concert live at the Gran Teatro in Havana – wherein the band performs nineteen of its greatest hits.
