Rising from the [un]sophisticated underground of Paris, Zarboth began after a chance meeting between Etienne Gaillochet [We Insist !] and Phil Reptil [La Theory du Reptil] in 2007 whilst on a [surely...?] fascinating educational outing.
After forming an instant bond of friendship, the two realised they had known of each others musical projects for years but had never met.
They immediately decided to get together for a jam, and blindly stumbled together into a project full of twisted rhythms, beautiful yelling and playful staccati, giving birth to a union of experimental rock, jazz & metal brimming with old-school punk attitude
Tracklist :
1 - Addict
2 - Wilderness
3 - Argue
4 - Dieceptev
5 - Overtones
6 - Never turn
7 - Hear me
8 - Realize

A powerful and dark Rock & Roll that we find in Stay Clean, the great Overkill and Capricorn with their unforgettable solos, and the amazing Metropolis. And on the other tracks, like “(I won’t) pay your price”, “Tear ya down” and “No Class”, you will undoubtebly move your head up and down !!!
Overkill is a must-have for any Hard Rock and Heavy Metal lover, the best of the group to this day.

“Most French bands that I’ve heard suck. I don’t know what it is about that country, but by and large the French are a waste from stern to stem. Hell, I’ve been there and (at least in Paris) they sucked. So I was fully prepared for this band to do nothing for me. Well, prove me wrong. Tantrum kicks ass. Consider fellow Europeans Knut and their destructive wall of sound and you’ll get an idea of what Tantrum are going for.
They learned their time signatures from the school of Botch and took some lessons in heaviness from the academy of Mehuggah, and then made a mess of it in Metal shop (you like how I fit that in there?). Definitely worth investigating and if they tried to breach our shores I’d let ‘em in.”

Unswabbed nous livre certainement avec In Situ son album le plus sombre, le plus noir, le plus grave. Sombre dans les textes et les ambiances, les mélodies claires sont moins présentes que par le passé, noir à l’image de l’artwork et de leurs yeux.
By releasing In Situ, Unswabbed probably provides us with its darkest and gravest album. Dark in the texts and moods, clear melodies are less present than they were in the past, dark as the artwork, and as their eyes.
